Design & Research institute of Beijing Shougang Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd is an engineering technology unit which mainly engages in the design and manufacture of metallurgy mechanical and electrical equipment and also in products development and engineering technology service. Our institute also has the general contract ability.

The institute has the specialists of metallurgy technique and equipment, coke oven machine, electric automation, hydraulic pressure control, environment protection and so on, as well as the departments of design management, engineering management, project operation, after sale service and so on. Our institute has a design group which consists of senior and secondary designers and has abundant technical forces. We are advanced in product design, engineering and calculation analysis and have strong ability on product design, install and debugging for machinery, electrical and hydraulic productions.

In 1991 we take the chance as designing and manufacturing 6m coke oven machine for Shougang and from then on set foot in coke industry. In 2003 facing the tendency of bigger and more clean of the coke oven machine, our institute put our main concern on soot treatment. The institute carries on a large scope technical communication and cooperation with domestic and overseas units of design, scientific research and manufacturing, actively carries on the design optimization and technical innovation work, and constantly perfects the functions of the equipments and improve the product quality. Our institute has developed the first 6m spiral coal charging car, 6m outer spanned belt driven lathe coke transfer car and first "U" pipe CGT car for 6.25m stamping coke oven in China. We have developed some innovation techniques and state patents in part of fields.

Recent years, our institute has gained big success on coke oven de-dusting and has made some modification mainly on ground de-dusting station to various clients. This gained us a lot of community benefits. Moreover we have explored a de-dusting technology that combining the "U" pipe CGT car and machine side & coke side ground de-dusting station. This provides us an effective way to control the soot on stamping coke oven.
